McGill Law Office
100 Larkspur Landing Circle, Suite 219
I am happy to provide each potential new client with a fifteen minute free telephone consultation to discover whether I am the right lawyer for you and whether you are the right client for me.
My policy is to check for potential conflicts of interest before receiving any information that may be considered confidential. Because of my duties to my existing clients I reserve the right to share any information I receive from you unless and until I notify you that (1) I do not have any conflicts of interest, and (2) I am willing to receive confidential information from you. Thus, in initiating contact with our firm, please do not provide any information you do not want us to share with others.
In your initial inquiry please provide the following information: (1) the general nature of the matter about which you are contacting me (e.g., personal injury, business matter, criminal defense etc.); (2) the identity of any other party who might join you as a client of the firm in this matter; and (3) the identity of all potential adverse parties and known key witnesses.
Furthermore, in order to establish an attorney-client relationship with my firm, I require a written retainer agreement that defines the scope of the representation that is signed by both the client and me. Electronic signatures will not suffice.
My procedures are designed to protect your interests as well as the interests of my existing clients.
You may send me an email with an inquiry, but please remember that sending an email does not establish an attorney client relationship. Also, please do not send any confidential information in an email. I will let you know how to send confidential information if it becomes necessary to do so.
